Steffen Faas makes it onto the podium in all four races in Jarama. The racing team around Scania pilot Steffen Faas from the Black Forest had an extremely successful weekend at the final round of the European Truck Racing Championship at the Circuito del Jarama. In addition to a total of four podium finishes, Steffen also secured third place in the European Championship in the Chrome category.
In Saturday's qualifying, the Scania pilot turned the tenth-fastest lap and went straight to third place in the Chrome category in the first race. At the start of the second race, Steffen was able to gain positions, crossed the finish line in seventh place and thus finished second in the Chrome category.
Unfortunately, the man from the Black Forest didn't get an optimal lap in the second qualifying session on Sunday and had to settle for twelfth place on the grid. But Steffen didn't let that get him down, fought his way forward during the third race, and secured another podium finish with third place in the chrome category.
And since, as everyone knows, fourth time's the charm, Steffen managed to make it onto the podium in the Chrome category in the fourth race of the weekend.
‘To be on the podium four times here in front of these truck-racing-crazy Spanish fans is just a dream come true,’ Steffen said on Sunday evening.
