The Intercontinental Rally Challenge completed its four-event tour of Eastern Europe with its first visit to Bulgaria for the Mabanol Sliven Rally, which was sponsored by Mabanol distribution partner Bulcar Oil Ltd, from 28-30 September 2012.
Many thousand spectators flocked to the race track to witness a mind-boggling event, which featured thirteen stages over a competitive distance of 197 kilometres.
Team Skoda Fabia Super 2000 and its drivers Dimitar Iliev and Yanaki Yanakiev clinched a comprehensive win as they finished 11.2 seconds ahead of runners-up Petar Gioshev and Dimitar Spasov of Team Peugeot 207 Super 2000 and third-placed Team Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 9 (drivers Ignat Isaev and Milen Isaev).
