Good luck and bad luck
The Mabanol team along with several distributors and customers followed yet another exciting race which culminated in the victory of the Mühlner Motorsport race team consisting of Moritz Kranz, Thorsten Jung and Nico Menzel (#979), hence consolidating their comfortable lead in the overall standings of the Porsche Cayman GT4 Trophy.
During Friday's sunny training session a number of distributors and customers had once again the chance to take the co-driver's seat to experience a lap at Nürburgring's Nordschleife circuit.
On Saturday,  the day of the race, the Mühlner team had to face severe weather conditions of heavy rain.
Our second vehicle (#969) had to abandon the race after a serious crash from which our driver Alex Schula walked away unscathed.
The race was characterised by unsettled weather conditions, constantly changing within a blink of an eye between rainy and sunny periods. By using the right strategy, the Mühlner Motorsport / Mabanol Premium Motor Oil team #979 managed to put in a great performance and clinched the first place in the Cup 3 standings of the Porsche Cayman Trophy by Manthey Racing. On top of that, the 11th place throughout all race categories was secured, thereby lifting our team much closer to the stronger GT3 division in the overall standings.
This performance raised our hopes to defend the title with two races remaining.
We are proud of this stunning performance and keep our fingers crossed for the remainder of the season!
