PODIUM PLACES TRUCK GRAND PRIX

More than 130,000 spectators attended the Truck Grand Prix 2024 at the Nürburgring over the weekend. Driver Steffen Faas achieved two podium finishes and welcomed almost 1,000 guests in the paddock.

Steffen's longest race weekend of the season began with the first training sessions on Thursday. Further practice sessions and qualifying took place on Friday, leading up to the first race on Saturday morning. Steffen secured his first podium of the weekend with a third-place finish in the Chrome Championship. In the second race on Saturday evening, he once again finished on the podium, taking another third place in the Chrome classification.

Sunday brought some challenges for Steffen. In the first race of the day, his Scania narrowly missed the podium, and in the final race of the weekend, a slow puncture caused by contact with another truck left him without a chance to compete for a top spot.

“Even though we couldn't quite show our potential on the track today, it was a successful weekend all round,” Steffen Faas summarized on Sunday evening. “However, we had a really good time here with our guests, so we are very happy with the Truck Grand Prix 2024.”

The racing team will now take a well-deserved summer break before the fifth round of the European Truck Racing Championship in Most at the end of August.
